    1. Start with an open heart and mind.

    2. Open all the windows and doors in your home to allow air to circulate and negative energy to escape.

    3. Light one end of the stick, burn for a few seconds, and then gently blow it out to release a small trail of smoke.

    4. Circulate around your home, relighting and fanning as needed. You may pray or recite positive affirmations.

    5. When finished, extinguish the flame by pressing it into a fireproof bowl or shell until the smoke no longer rises.
